How to choose the right container size for your belongings?

Calculate before you rent

The most common mistake is renting a container that's too big. List your furniture and boxes, then estimate how much space they'll take up when stacked.

Approximate equivalents

2 m² holds a dozen boxes and a bicycle. 4 m² is enough for the contents of one room. 9 m² will fit furniture from a two-bedroom flat, and 12 m² – from an entire home. Available sizes are 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 12 m².

Height also matters

Containers are over 2 metres high. Make the most of this by installing shelving and stacking boxes in columns.
