Disassemble what you can
Dismantled furniture takes up less space and is less likely to be damaged. Pack screws into a small bag and tape it to the furniture piece.
Breathable protection
Instead of airtight plastic wrap, use blankets or covers for wood. Stretch film works well for upholstery, but ensure air can circulate.
Don't place directly on the floor
Use pallets or battens – this provides extra protection and better air circulation.
